Flame Retardant Fiberglass Mesh
Flame retardant fiberglass mesh is a special fiberglass mesh, mainly used for EIFS. It is customized for buildings with additional fire protection needs. It is woven from fiberglass mesh and then coated with flame-retardant latex. The coating not only protects the glass fibers from acids, but also prevents the spread of fire. As a result, the EIFS system does not catch fire even after ignition and remains intact. Flame-retardant fiberglass mesh is very popular in North America such as the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and has the advantages of fire resistance, ultra-softness, and high tensile strength. It acts as a "soft steel bar" when embedded in the EIFS system, which can avoid the deformation of the entire insulation system caused by external pressure or extrusion, thereby greatly improving the durability and service life of the insulation system.
